Decorating cupcakes and blog help needed

I am not an expert cake decorator, but I sure
had fun using my Wilton dessert decorator a few
days ago.

Like I said, not an expert at all, but I sure have fun trying. I made red velvet cupcakes with Dean Jacob's brand cupcake mix. {from Home Goods} and they are sooooo good!
I think the frosting was a little soft to decorate them this way, but oh well.
don't they look so pretty?

I highly recommend this brand of mix. I also scooped up
the last two boxes of the white chocolate cupcake mixes
with raspberry frosting in the same brand.
I have had them before and they are my favorite.

Happy Thursday everyone...LOOK can you see it?? The weekend is coming!! :)
Are any of you having these blog spacing problems? When I type this up in compose mode my spacing is fine,
but when I go to preview it and actually post it, some
are double spaced and it is driving me crazy!
Any help out there?? pretty please...:)
Blessings~

Redecorating my kitchen

For some reason last night I got a bee in my bonnet
to wash down the walls in my kitchen and do a little
redecorating. I didn't purchase a thing. Just went
shopping in my own home.
I wish I had taken before pictures because it really
does look a lot different. Not near as much
*stuff* and focused mainly on white with a little
sea glass color to accent. I am pleased with the way it turned out.

This canister is on hubby's *coffee station* {will show that another time}
It holds different coffees and teas.

I totally redid this shelf. Stripped everything
off of it and plopped it all on the table and
started over.

I got this tiny wreath at Meijer several weeks ago. It is boxwood and I love it.

A favorite chair

I have had this bookcase for quite some time and it
was loaded down with vintage pink print tablecloths
and other goodies so once again I just took
everything off and started over.
I really would like a chippy , white bench here,
but haven't found one yet so this will work for now.

I love my brick. When we first moved here it was
gray and tannish color with black grout! Ugh! Never liked that , but I do now.
I did a makeover on it several years ago.

In a perfect world I would have white cupboards
and chairs, floor etc., but it is just not feasible
especially living on a dirt road so...once again...
make do and I am happy.

I know these aren't white , but had to add them at
the end of the post. This is sitting in the middle of
my table. Thought I had taken a picture of the
table, but I guess not. The plan is to put a flower
in each one...when I get some flowers. lol.

I hope you enjoyed a little peek at my kitchen today. I am loving the sparse look of it. {compared to what it was}

White Wednesdays posts.

Blogger is giving me fits tonight...grrrr. Thus the reason for the

double spacing etc...wish they would fix it.

A tisket, a tasket, a tiny Easter basket

I had a stack of peat pots just waiting to be
embellished so this morning I did just that.

I used vintage postcard images...

vintage 1 inch Red Cross bandage gauze...

vintage lace...

and some waxed twine and flowers.

Now I have a flock of tiny Easter baskets.
Enjoy!

{blogger has been giving me fits this morning...you too?}

Warning: Girly post ahead!

I took advantage of the sunlight streaming
in my bedroom window today and hauled out my
camera. I never know when to stop adding photos
so you are getting several today! :)

I love this tag that Ozma of Odds included along with
an order from her etsy store.

I adore old lace and pretty clothes.

I found this toddlers dress with the rose attached at
the Goodwill for 1.00. new with tags.

Beautiful lace scarves that I found at an antique
store.

My genuine shabby chic tote bag.
I purchased this on ebay several years ago.
Was I ever surprised when I received it
at how small it is, but I still love it.

{guess I should read descriptions more carefully}

Love a pretty ruffly scarf.

pretty dresses and scarves all hanging
out together.

I warned you this would be a girly post.lol.

I love the french look, but I also still
love these goodies as well.

The Growers Daughter...Giveaway win part 2

Sharing with you today more items
that I won a few weeks ago from Maria at The Growers Daughter.

{I really hesitated to post these photos as I don't
think they do the items justice, but here we go
anyway}

I already showed you the bath salts and sachet,
but she also sent along lots of french paper goods.

{here is one of the beautiful towels}

vintage french vocabulary cards, old paper, buttons...

an old book in french...

old letters , fleur-de-lis cut outs, and
several old song sheets.

Love how she tied the towels all together in
this string with the french farmhouse tea towels
paper attached.

Love these tags too!!

I sure wish I was a better photographer, but I hope
you get the idea. I was overwhelmed with all kinds
of goodies and I will enjoy them for a long time
to come. Thank you again Maria! Blessings~
