So thankful for my *quiet followers*

I just want to take this opportunity to thank all of
you who take time out of your busy day to check out
my blog and see what I am up to.

*Karen* recently sent me an email and told me that
she is one of my *quiet followers*...
she thought that sounded much nicer than
a *lurker*.
I agree and just had to say thank you to everyone
who reads my ramblings. Somedays they probably
aren't worth reading, but you still hang in there with me
and I am so grateful!

In light of now having passed 300 followers stay tuned
for a giveaway coming up soon! I have to figure out
what I am going to offer first. lol.

Blessed and oh so thankful to have you in my blog life!

Just some pretty photos

Happy Friday everyone! I have good intentions of
getting outside in a few minutes and working in my
flower beds while the weather is cool.

In the meantime I thought I would share a few
photos that I have taken in the past couple days.

I picked this leaf cast up at the antique store where
I have my booth. Isn't it neat?

My white phlox peeking through the fence.

Beautiful hollyhock putting on it's best show.

My wire greenhouse cover...love it.

Love my phlox in this wire basket.

Pretty geranium in my bicycle basket.

I wanted to show you how tall my phlox get.

I did have four of these vintage chairs and they
were painted the prettiest green color.
I purchased them at an estate sale several years ago
for 50 cents each. I left this one and another one sit
outside and they lost almost all of their green paint.
I do have one left that is just as it was originally and
I am keeping it that way.

Have a wonderful weekend filled with blessings.

Still loving W.H.I.T.E.

I have been making ribbon roses and
actually it is quite fun once you get
it figured out. I have several laying around,
but I love the ones that fade from
pink to white.

I really should finish it. I think if you would turn this over you would find
that it still has a pin stuck through it.

Love these antique plates with dainty pink roses too.

Did you catch a glimpse of my wire greenhouse? {that is what the tag said it was} I purchased it at Home Goods when hubby and I went shopping last Saturday. I think it looks neat over the plates, but I did take it outside and it looks great with a plant too. More about that another day.

I just had to share my phlox again. They are finally in full bloom and I had to take pictures while I can. They are a lot like peonies in that they are beautiful one day and if you get rain they are ruined. I just love them and their wonderful aroma.

This bunch is on the south side of our garage and I see them everyday when I look out the bathroom window. Pure beauty.

These phlox are outside my back door beside my fence
and fairy house. I just dug up starts from the main
plants by the garage one year and planted some here
and out in front of my house too. They are doing
wonderful.

Please visit Kathleen over at Faded Charm for more
WW posts. I want to tell you all again that I really do try
and get to each of your blogs on this special day of
the week, but some just load too slow and I am not
able to view them in a timely manner.

Also, some I can view and read and then when
I go to comment it takes forever so I have to
abandon midstream. So sorry. I hope to have
high speed someday. We keep trying to get it ,
but everytime we are told it is not available to us.
One of these days...

Happy White Wednesday~

RUN {don't walk} to your nearest Michaels store!

Remember when hubby and I went off on a day of
shopping Saturday?

I thought I would show you some of my bargains today.

I picked up every single bird they had like these.
Kept two out and that leaves 6 for the store}
{they are going in my booth at the antique store}

Aren't they so pretty? I am so into the french and neutral
colors these days in my decor, but still love to sell these
colors in my booth.

Not even going to tell you the prices...
it would break your heart.

I will just say that everything I purchased there
was 90 % off.

I also purchased all these pink jars that were left

{there were only three in pink}

and oodles of these candlerings {I counted 14 when I was pricing them this morning}

I forgot to get a picture of a bicycle planter and also a little white bird accent. Get the picture?? You better RUN!

Happy Monday!! Blessings~

Swan Song

definition:

a final gesture or performance, given before dying
{in this instance given by me before diving}

Hanging this bliss banner was my swan song of the day.

Immediately after hubby took this photo,
I started down off the ladder and fell in the
most ungraceful way you can imagine.
Shot clean across the aisle and into a post
rolling all the way!!

Scraped up my shoulder a little, but not bad for
the way I felt as I was flying across the aisle. I thought, "Oh my goodness I am going to
whack my head"...absolutely nothing I could do
to stop this motating body no matter how hard
I wanted to.

Thank God no one was in the aisle and saw me do this! That in itself was a miracle! The antique mall was
full of people and all I thought about was how stupid
I must have looked! lol.

On a lighter note:
I made these very large tissue paper pom poms from
a Martha Stewart kit that I had purchased at Big Lots
months ago for $2.00.

I wanted to pretty up my booth so we took this
ladder up today after church and I hung them up.
Love how they look!
{so at least the day wasn't all bad}

Hubby took this photo too.
Put my camera in that man's hands and he is just
off and running. He was playing with the color
accent feature in the above shot.

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.
Blessings~

Precious Jewels

We are His precious jewels and He loves each
and every one of us.

Little children, little children,
Who love their Redeemer,
Are the jewels, precious jewels,
His loved and His own.

Refrain:
Like the stars of the morning,
His bright crown adorning,
They shall shine in their beauty,
Bright gems for His crown.

{a favorite song from my youth..sorry if I have shared this
song before, but I just love it }

Have a blessed Sunday as you rest in His love~

Spur of the moment fun

I have spent the past few days working on these signs
and today was made for playing!

I thought I was pretty much done making these,
but they started selling very well in my space at the
antique mall so I went ahead and made a few more.

I intended to go to my booth today and suspend a ladder
overhead and decorate it, but it was much too hot
and muggy so...we had a spur of the moment
change of plans.

Hubby asked "do you want to go to Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti??? {a 1 and 1/2 hour drive one way}
well... yes...absolutely...I would !
{don't have to ask me twice to visit my favorite stores}

So we spent the afternoon at Home Goods, TJ Maxx,
JoAnn Fabric and Michaels.

Hubbs also went to his favorite hobby shop and we purchased
him another RC Plane for his birthday which is this
coming Saturday. I can't believe he will be 54 years old.
He thinks it is just great. He keeps telling me
*I will be able to eat off Bob Evans senior menu soon*.
What a hoot!

I hope you had a fun day today too! Blessings~

PS I did get a few goodies which I will share soon. :)

I should be out sanding , but instead...

I am in here playing...again!
I thought I would share a few of my recent finds.

I picked up this jar at the Goodwill because it
has a fleur de lis pattern on each side.
Love it.

I happened upon a garage sale last week that was
huge! The sale was in a pole barn and it was full.

I was good and only purchased a few inexpensive
things. Got a couple boxes of these old jelly jars, a
stack of feedsacks, some wooden spools, a
mirrored vanity tray and a couple old patterns.
{patterns were free with purchase}

I found this ladder last week at a favorite
antique mall. {I had to move a rug with shoes on it and dust
the cobwebs out of the corner for this photo. *SMILE*}

love this vintage *thinga ma jiggy*...bucket??

2 beautiful Ikea pillow shams for $1.00
{ribbon included}

This beautiful jar was made just for me by Tracie of
My Petite Maison. Isn't it gorgeous!!

and finally this stack of vintage lace for $2.00

What have you found lately ?

Now I must get busy and get some work done
and quit letting this computer distract me.lol.

Have a warm summer Thursday! Blessings~

Intoxicating White Phlox

I have white phlox blooming outdoors beside my
fairy house
and their sweet smell is intoxicating.

I also brought some white phlox into the house

and added a stem to my lovely jars again.

I love them closeup or far away.

They are also blooming in front of my house.
I think these angels are keeping watch over them as they
bloom and grow. *smile*

Happy White Wednesday...my favorite day to blog.
